Gone are those days!

We had shifted to Bangalore, Whitefield. Basically shifted for short time and as per joining conditions, we were supposed to move to Singapore. We had not taken major stuff with us. Thankfully there was no TV, Neither we had taken any kind of music system with us. We just had a small radio at home. Does that feel like living in early years of 1900 century??? But we lived like that for about 8 short months. Yeah! That was a short time span of my life. We spent time together with each other. Gave ample time to Tanmay, we shared talks and some nice evening chit-chats. Since there was no TV, while having meals, we used to crack jokes and have good time. We went out for walk. We went to park with Tanmay. We used to give time to Tanmay and even each other.

Later we purchased TV, we took that tata sky's DTH connection and this golden period came to an end. We stopped going out in evening, Tanmay's play time slowly moved towards watching TV and sitting idle. There started argument for getting charge of remote control to watch movies and cartoons and songs and all.. Meal time chit chats came to an end. Evening walk ended in front of TV watching some boring and irritating movie and serials.

TV definitely is a boon... but not at the cost of family time. Entertainment must be there. Everyone needs some relaxed time but it can be achieved with family and kids too. Spending quality time with them. Sharing jokes, some childhood stories, some information, reading some book and sharing its info.... lot of things are there which can give entertainment with family life. TV has taken it all away from me. Sometimes I really feel to dump TV in some dirty corner and spend quality time together with family.
